Stone Tools
Cutting and shaping stone is very close to becoming a lost art. Trail crews who work in stone are among the few who still use stone tools. We carry carbide tipped chisels, hand points, hand sets, and tracers by Tamco and Trow & Holden as well as specialty stone hammers including Rifters, Bull Sets, and Mash hammers that are used to score, split and trim stone to the desired size. Portable rock drills, drill bits, stone splitting wedges and accessories are also a specialty of Trail Services.
Griphoist® Lifting and Pulling Machines
Griphoist lifting and pulling machines have found applications in trail work throughout the United States. These hand powered winches utilize a pair of wire rope grips to pull a separate length of wire rope through the winch. Any length of wire rope may be used. "Sky line" applications allow trail crews to roll heavy rocks and logs great distances across the land.
